simPRO Fire – The Game Changer

simPRO FiresimPRO Fire is fast becoming a game changer for the fire industry.  Here are some of the reasons why.

The first and most obvious reason is that simPRO Fire leverages off the already existing, successful simPRO Enterprise frame work.  So already created and included in the simPRO Fire package are the high levels of help and support that simPRO users expect, and above all, the ongoing commitment of simPRO to develop superior systems to help people manage busy trade service companies.

simPRO Enterprise already has a strong service job module, this is greatly enhanced and leveraged upon for simPRO Fire.  To make it a truly useful application for fire service companies, simPRO Fire is a fully integrated module throughout the entire enterprise system, it is not simply a bolt on bit of software.  Being browser based, it is truly portable and accessible anywhere you need it to be,

simPRO Fire starts with the powerful asset register which is a list of equipment that can be completely customised for all your job locations.  The asset register has various asset types which store information as defined by the user and can have various service levels associated with each type of equipment you service.  You can associate different cost rates and contract values for the assets, as well as nominated CPI (consumer price index) inflation to ensure that your billing will automatically track the contracted rates.

simPRO Fire will then alert you(a few days ahead of due date) based on specified parameters and  buffers when equipment is due for a service, and the exact service level the equipment is due for.  The real game changer here is that traditionally a recurrence is initiated for a site, then you just go to site and there happens to be a list of equipment to service.  simPRO Fire on the other hand bases its service frequency on the equipment list which just happens to generate jobs on locations – the equipment dictates what work is to be done, not the location. The game has changed.

Once the maintenance planner is run, a standard `pending job’ is created and the asset list is loaded up notifying the user of the service level that needs to be performed on the visit.  So now we have a job created and ready to go how, simPRO Fire helps by closing the loop between the field and office delivering a range of mobility solutions.

Enter simPRO mobile.  simPRO Mobile offers up a choice of digital pens with pre-setup AS1851 compliant paper forms, PDA’s and Ultra mobile solutions (both electronic solutions are fully barcode ready).  Once the job has been dispatched (using any of the standard simPRO Enterprise dispatch methods) you can have the job and testing information collected either electronically on the PDA or ultra mobile (similar to a tablet) solution or captured using a digital pen on log books and test sheets. The collected report data can be sent back to the system to automatically and electronically to update the job and test history of the asset whether the asset has passed, failed (and for what reason) or was missed.  This alone saves untold amount of time and effort purely from data entry perspective and smoothes out the volume of work as information is delivered as it happens instead of huge chunks when the engineers return at the end of the day.

Ok, so now we have a system that has generated our jobs automatically based on a frequency and level as determined by assets, we have dispatched the information to the field and have retrieved it electronically so no data entry required.  What happens next?

There is not much use in having this data if you can’t then report on it.  One of the massive benefits of simPRO Fire is that from the collected data we can have the system automatically generate quotes for all the failure points saving many man hours on small manual quotes. The simPRO Fire system will also automatically create defect reports, report to the client the full testing history, produce a life cycle analysis, create budget forecasting based on history, generate Programmed Preventative Maintenance reports, monthly reports, scheduled job reports and so much more. These functions & features are all client accessible automatically by way of the Client Management Portal (CMP).

The CMP allows your customers to log on and retrieve as much or as little information as you would like them to have in relation to their jobs and equipment testing and the best part – it’s all live, so they can see updates to their testing & reporting as they happen.  The simPRO Fire approach is that since you are doing the work, capturing and recording the data anyway, why put in any additional effort relaying that to the client when you can have simPRO Fire do it for you automatically.  Scrambling to get your critical defect notices completed and sent within the required 24 hours will be a thing of the past.  Once you have approved the automatically created defect reports with associated costs for rectification, the client is automatically notified on the CMP, the burden of responsibility is immediately transferred from you to the end client.

These are just some of the benefits simPRO Fire clients are already enjoying.  simPRO Fire really is changing the way fire companies run their businesses and in the new business created. The ability for the client to have access to their reporting, quotes, certificates and test history online when they want it has helped several simPRO Fire users win some serious contracts.

As with all simPRO products, we offer live help via our online support portal, meaning you get the answers when you need them.
