Create an Online Shop for Your Clients
Did you know that if you are a simPRO Enterprise user that there is an online shop where your clients can book jobs or buy items directly 24 hours a day without you needing to be there?
It is a standard feature of your simPRO system and it allows you to save time by granting access to some or all of your customers to create their own job bookings or order items directly in your simPRO system.
Let’s take a look at how it works.
In simPRO you manage your materials and your prebuilds as normal, assign your selling price to an item. You then choose which option you want to allow the item to be displayed to clients in the online shop. This is selected in “Viewable by” on the materials card:
- Select Clients allows you to choose which specific clients can access that item
- Invisible means that it won’t show to anyone
- Entire Website means that it will be viewable by all clients.
Here is how the material card looks for a Prebuild for a CCTV Camera:
Your clients are given a username and password which you set up for them in the Profile tab of the Client Card.
They login directly via your special URL, eg. https://yourcompany.simpro.co.uk and they then have a range of actions that they can take, one of these actions is to go to the Online Store to select items to purchase.
In the Online Store your client can search or browse by category for the item or service they are looking for:
Once they have searched and found the item they are after they can view the details and the pricing, then click “add”:
They select the quantity they want:
The client then optionally enters in an order number, chooses the preferred date for delivery/installation, selects which location it is for and then continues:
They then confirm job details, pricing add any notes and then submit:
simPRO automatically creates a job number and displays that as confirmation for the client:
That job will now display inside your simPRO and display it as an online job waiting for confirmation. You can then confirm it, order the materials and schedule the work just as you would with a job you created in simPRO:
It’s as easy as that for you clients to buy products and services online directly from your simPRO system. This is equally at home for a contracting service such as a safety switch inspection or for products such as toilet paper and soap for cleaning or property maintenance companies. Plus – you can even get them to pay online if you wish.
Get Your Clients to Pay Online
In a way to make your online ordering system more efficient, your online shop in simPRO can be linked through to a PayPal account to allow you to get paid by PayPal, Direct Bank Deposit and Credit Card. Plus with simPRO’s full API available, you could have a developer create a full shopping cart application that can process payments and pass the orders, invoices and payments straight through to simPRO.
